La mise en scène d’Elisabeth Navratil pour La Belle Meunière de Schubert transforme le cycle de lieder en un véritable poème dramatique. Le ruisseau y devient une ondine incarnée par la comédienne Marguerite Chauvin, guidant le meunier, joué par Edwin Fardini, dans sa descente vers la mort. Adrien Lefébure, en chasseur vêtu de noir, personnifie également la Mort, soulignant le tragique du récit. Le piano de Vincent Laissy sculpte les paysages intérieurs du héros. Une lecture sensible et poétique d’un chef-d’œuvre du romantisme allemand.

Elisabeth Navratil’s staging of Die schöne Müllerin by Schubert transforms the song cycle into a true dramatic poem. The brook becomes a water spirit, embodied by actress Marguerite Chauvin, guiding the miller—sung by Edwin Fardini—on his descent toward death. Adrien Lefébure, dressed in black as the hunter, also represents Death, intensifying the tragic arc. Pianist Vincent Laissy brings the miller’s emotional landscape vividly to life. A sensitive and poetic interpretation of a cornerstone of German Romanticism.
